Vietri "Bianco" Serving Pieces

Bianco (bee ahn' koh) The charming, white-glazed shapes, made of high-fired terra cotta, were originally handmade in the 1300's by Tuscan peasants. Their rustic glazes separated during firing showing the terra cotta at the edges. Using wax and clear glaze, Italian artisans recreate these lovely, rustic edges, which add texture, history and character to the simple white surfaces. Each piece of Bianco has one-of-a-kind, Old World character as well as sophisticated simplicity. Bianco appeals to both traditional and modern tastes.
